I completed two courses, ‘Deep Tissue Massage’ and ‘Yoga Teacher’, in Kripalu (USA), which is the biggest holistic center in America. I then set up my own practice in 1992. I went on to do a 3-year course, ‘Iyengar Yoga Teachers Training’, and I became a certified ‘TouchPro® Chair Massage Therapist’ in 1998.
Since the birth of my first daughter in 2002 I’ve been giving Pregnancy Massages for expectant mothers.
My approach aims at helping people to experience a calm mind and body through massage. The challenges of everyday life mean that people often no longer experience harmony between mind and body, but a feeling of discord. We may physically be in one place, but our thoughts are elsewhere. This discord can lead to mental conflict and it creates tension in the body. As a result we often feel disharmony and stress. Regular massage therapy can relieve physical tension. We can release the tension again and feel that our mind and body is more balanced. Our energy no longer gets wasted on internal conflicts and can once again be put to more efficient use. By keeping mind and body balanced through massages, we experience renewed energy and inner peace.
Speciality: Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a type of massage that focuses on the deeper muscle layers and the connective tissue in the body. It is particularly useful for areas under chronic stress and tension, such as a stiff neck, lower-back pain and painful shoulders. In the case of chronic muscle tension, this can block blood circulation, cause pain, and restrict freedom of movement. It also stops energy from flowing freely through the body.
