My name is Colette Krijl.
I was introduced to bodywork more than ten years ago. For me it opened the way very directly and intensely to greater awareness and transformation. I always concentrated on self-analysis and diving into deeper waters.
In the past I studied literary theory at the University of Amsterdam and I went on long-distance cycle trips. I love to move, and physicality has always been important to me. I’ve completed a variety of massage courses. At the Academy for Massage and Movement, where dance, movement and meditation are also part of the program, I trained as a massage therapist.
In giving massages I choose different techniques to suit the moment. A relaxation massage is also about creating a balance between body and mind. In this case the emphasis is on releasing and relaxing, but a massage using rebalancing techniques is also about perceiving and sensing emotional blockages in the body. It can give you a profound feeling of support. The deep tissue massage works on the connective tissue in a subtle way to release adhesions. Playful movement techniques give a physical feeling of freedom, softness and comfort. A pregnancy massage is chiefly about care and well-being, and it also supports the bond between mother and child.
Koan Float is a lovely place with nice colleagues, it really feels like coming home to yourself. And that’s exactly what I wish for my clients.
