Thai Yoga massage is a dynamic type of massage, comprising a well-balanced mixture of stroking and acupressure. Where meditation calms, acupressure and massage set things in motion. They are perfect accompaniments and serve to reinforce each other. After receiving a massage you will feel revitalized, energetic yet at the same time deeply relaxed. Thai Yoga massage is an excellent remedy for all sorts of ailments.
During a Thai Yoga massage (60 or 90 minutes) the masseur will guide you through various yoga positions involving the spine, shoulders, arms and legs. These positions improve body posture, open up the chest, and give greater ease of movement as well as graceful movement. This goes hand in hand with deep breathing. The massage is usually given on a thick mat on the floor (a futon) or on a massage table, depending on the preferences of the masseur.
The recipient wears loose and comfortable clothing such as jogging pants and a T-shirt.
This type of massage helps to fully or partially eradicate stress, tiredness, tension and problems in the back and neck. The mind becomes tranquil and the body relaxed.
